How to Enroll Account in Metrobankdirect Online Banking

If you have an account with Metrobank, you can enroll it for online banking. Online banking has certainly made it easier for people to manage their money. This is your guide to register your account on Metrobankdirect.

After you have successfully registered your account online, you will be able to view and check your balance anytime anywhere as long as you have Internet connection. There is no need for you to go to the bank or an ATM machine to check you account. You also have the privilege of doing financial transactions without lining in queue to the bank teller. Metrobankdirect allows you to do financial transactions such as Fund Transfer, Bills Payment, Reorder Checkbook online, and Open New Account among many others from your Metrobankdirect online banking.

Step 1

Go to https://www.metrobank.com.ph. This is the website of Metropolitan Bank Trust and Company (MBTC). This is where you can register your account for online banking.

Step 2

Next step is to click on “Enroll Now.” The next screen will present a page where you can select the type of account you want to enroll. Right now, the only option is to enroll an ATM card. For other account such as Savings Passbook, Checking Account, and Time Deposit in Peso or Foreign Currency Denominations, you can visit the bank branch and they can setup one for you.

Step 3

Input all your credentials in the Metrobank online registration form. You need to fill up the form with your details such as your preferred user id, ATM card number, and your ATM pin.

Note that Metrobankdirect requires a 19-digit number. In most cases, ATM card number only displays 16-digit number so you have to add three zeroes (000) after you entered your ATM card number.

Click “Continue” and then review the information you input on the next screen. Once you have verified and ensured that everything is correct, you may hit “Confirm.” A Transaction Acknowledgment page will load that will tell you to activate your account by clicking on the Activation Link sent to the email address that you used to register your Metrobankdirect online account.

Step 4

To finish your registration, login to the email address that you used to register the account. Open the email that you received from Metrobank. See the screenshot below.

Click on the activation link. Enter your temporary password and click “I Agree” to the Terms and Condition. A new page will load asking you to setup your security question and answer. Click “Save.”

Metrobankdirect will send a One Time Password (OTP) to the mobile number that you used during registration. Enter the OTP on the space provided online and then proceed changing your temporary password to your own password.

Final Step.

Go to https://www.metrobank.com.ph. Click on Login under Online Banking Metrobankdirect and then enter your credentials on the login page. 

You will now be able to full access your bank account online. You can also add up as many bank account online and even enroll a third party account online for fund transfers. Do not forget to logout of your Metrobankdirect account after every session.
