NDRRMC rolled out its nationwide emergency cell broadcast system back in March. Since then, the agency has been sending text alerts to warn the Filipino people about impending disaster (flood and storm) in their areas.
Meanwhile, the tropical depression is anticipated to continue to bring rains in different parts of the country. Some cities have reportedly declared class suspensions on Wednesday. It is anticipated that Typhoon Maring will leave the Philippine Area of Responsibilty (PAR) on Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning.
