ICYMI: Animated Text Effects on Facebook Comments Section

Have you discovered the latest animated text effects on Facebook’s comment section? In case you missed it, Facebook rolled out these cute features in July. There are keywords that trigger Facebook’s text effects on the Comments Section and they are really cute. You might want to try them.

TYPE “CONGRATS” - COLORFUL BALLOONS AND CONFETTI POP UP ON YOUR SCREEN

We discovered this feature when we sent a congratulatory message to a friend whose wife had given birth. As soon as we hit enter after typing the word “congrats,” the word turned pinkish purple in color before balloons and confetti flew across the screen. We dug through the Internet to find out what was going in. Well, it was apparently one of those text effects on Facebook and we found out that there is a long list of keywords that activate them. For the colorful balloons, below are the keywords that you have to type on Facebook’s Comments Section.

TYPE “XOXO” - HEARTS FLOAT ON YOUR SCREEN

If you type “xoxo," your screen will be flooded with tiny pink hearts.

Type "puspus," you get the same thing.

TYPE “RAD” or “RADNESS” - THUMBS UP ROCKET EMOJIS COME FLYING ACROSS YOUR SCREEN

If you type “rad” or “radness,” thumbs up rocket emojis come flying across your screen. Try it out yourself.

    1. Hi Michael. There were indeed some Facebook users who have reported having problems accessing these animations. It seems that these animations are being introduced and rolled out on an account by account basis. Some thought that these animations only work on certain browsers but apparently they do work on both mobile and desktop devices. It should be available in your account sometime soon.
